如果你正要遠行，而你手上的MP3 只有1G，你會選擇放哪些歌？ 對我來說，THE PIXIES 的 Where Is My Mind 一定是會是我的首選。
知道這首歌主要是在大學時代參加音樂研究社時學長所推薦的一張在1997年發行的Death to the pixie 1987-1991 的精選。雖然這首歌放在最後一首，但仍無法掩蓋它是The Pixies 的經典名曲的鋒芒。
The Pixies 是美國的另類搖滾樂團，幾個團員其貌不揚，所以我想知道他們的人應該也不多。但在1999年 Fight Club《鬥陣俱樂部》的電影片尾曲中出現 Where Is My Mind 這首歌後，多數的人才知道有這麼棒的歌曲而廣為流傳 (雖然在我聽的那個年代另類曲風仍是不太容易蚾一般人接受的)，之後又有Placebo 與James Blunt 的翻唱，讓我在最近聽到這首歌後，不得不又再推薦一次。
此歌有如迷幻般的合聲及音樂的旋律, 讓聽的人不由自主的墜落到一種永無止盡的頹廢與無奈之中....在找不到原MV 的情況下只好以Fight Club 片尾曲的MV分享囉。
